Redfield & Dattner is first and foremost a Parisian studio. It is also founded from two names, two creators, those of Austin Redfield Tondini and Violette Bonis Charancle Dattner. It is the rare artistic proposal that arises from their encounter – that of a universe that crosses the history of classical and decorative painting, and pictorial and decorative methods, from gilding to marble decorations, to reinterpret them in incredible frescoes.
In these in situ decors, they match their sensibilities, using fabulous craft techniques perpetuated or reinvented, in the transparency of vaporous harmonies, trompe-l'oeil dreams and meditative nuances. With Asteré, Redfield & Dattner transpose their art onto wallpaper and invite us to enter and lose ourselves in their universe.
